The once anti-Nashville based Joe Buck gained notoriety as the guitarist of Th’ Legendary Shack Shakers. As Hank III’s villainous sideman onstage, the snarling upright bass player became infamously recognizable. Joe Buck Yourself is now a bona fide evil motherfucking one man band. This unique blend of hellbilly punk rock ain’t your grandma’s hillbilly music. Joe Buck yourself, motherfuckers!
Like so many of us, Rachel Brooke was born in the wrong time. Her classic style, and her simple and poetic songs fit much more snugly in an oval picture frame of tarnished metal and smoky glass than on CMT or Clear Channel pop country. Her songs have that capacity to take you somewhere you haven’t been for many many years, or to take you somewhere you want to be: in the depths of drunkenness and depression, or back home where all was right. The songs are not meant for this modern world or the people who dwell in it. They are meant for YOU…the wayward soul rambling down the Lost Highway.
Viva le Vox is a ragtag group of nea’er do-wells hailing from the swamps and shores of southeast Florida. They have a sound thats hard to describe, influenced by everything from the sleaziest Dixieland jazz to the most sordid punk rock. The sound is by turns loud, fast, and creepy…it’s uneasy listening, crafted for discerning musical misfits everywhere. Live performances will find a crowd of exorcised souls drenched in sweat, dancing up a frenzy.
