SPINDRIFT (US)

Spindrift fra Los Angeles er et live soundtrack til lige dele Tarantino-film og Sergio Leones spaghettiwestern, blandet op med lidt støvet psykedelisk rock og doors-orgel! 

De har endda bidraget til lydsiden af Tarantinos film "Hell Ride".

Spindrift har eksisteret siden 1992, men blev revitaliseret omkring 2009, hvorefter det er blevet til optrædener på bl.a. SXSW, Psysch Fest III, turneret med prominente navne som Dead Meadow, The Black Angels, The Dandy Warhols, Black Mountain og B.R.M.C. 

Spindrift er udgivet på det formidable label TeePee Records og har deres nyeste plade "Ghost of The West" med i bagagen. Pladen er med deres egne ord: "about their fascination with the past, present, and future of the American West."

Spindrift er inspireret af gode sager som The Doors, My Bloody Valentine, Hawkwind, Bruce Haack, Chrome og ikke mindst gamle soundtracks af Ennio Morricone.

SPINDRIFT: GHOST OF THE WEST follows the psychedelic country western/rock band SPINDRIFT as they tour the far reaches of the American West. For 5 weeks, they travelled through Ghost Towns, National Parks, Historical Landmarks, and tourist traps performing songs born long ago directly in their home environment to virtually nobody but the ghosts.

Director Burke Roberts and Cinematographers Rich Ragsdale and J.T. Gurzi capture every breathtaking view and musical gem in this surreal and visually stunning musical documentary. As aficionados of the Cinematic Western score, SPINDRIFT land directly where they need to be in this look at the redefined history of the past, present, and future of the American West.
