AQUA NEBULA OSCILLATOR
AQUA NEBULA OSCILLATOR, formed in 2000 by David Sphaeros, creates utterly unique and fantastically tripped out occult psych rock inspired by parallel dimensions, voodoo, ethnic trance, horror and cult movies (from the 1920’s to the 60’s), painters like Hieronymus Bosch and Salvador Dali, dark underground literature (H. P. Lovecraft, Isidore Ducasse, Antonin Artaud), aliens and UFOs! A modern mix of Krautrock, motorik with Hawkwind-style psychedelia, Hendrix-styled, ultra tripped out guitar action and an apocalyptic, raw power energy. AQUA NEBULA OSCILLATOR’s mind-burning, dark and dirty “chaos-sound” is a cauldron full of seething, primitive acid garage punk.
ANO looks and sounds like it was buried in a tomb in the late 60's/70's and has just been dug up and the band’s new album (and Tee Pee Records debut), Third is both totally fantastic, utterly underground and peculiarly timeless! ANO whips up storms of scorching guitar and hypnotic bass grooves over drums that are pounded into submission. Pure punkadelic!!
The first formation of AQUA NEBULA OSCILLATOR haunted squats and evenings in London, by performing a freak out completely improvised jam playing audio generators, gong, sitar, strange instruments (battery water, snake charmer flute and guitar apocalyptic on echo chamber), accompanied by dancers performer, David Sphaeros also created costumes and masks, all reminding of a tale by HP Lovecraft! The initial vision of AQUA NEBULA OSCILLATOR concept was to create a group of people constantly moving and appreciating eachother in order to keep the free spirit of the ancient psychedelic improvisation!
DEADPAN INTERFERENCE
A naïve project without a name, started by Martin Funder, Sofie Westh and Max Cosnier in 2012. An idea of a sound that would remind the listener of the 60’s/70’s psychedelic garage and the 80’s/90’s noise and shoegaze attitude.
Without a complete lineup, the trio began to record “I Like the Taste of Ugly Women” and “Dead Doom” which was the first demos that showed the direction the band was heading. Deadpan Interference became Deadpan Interference. Astrid Samuelsen joined the band on guitar and vocals in the end of 2013. Astrid’s hoarse yet frail voice and crunchy guitar sound suited the chaotic guitar playing, the rumbling bass and the experimenting drums perfectly.
Deadpan Interference has just finished recording their self titled debut EP, mixed by Deadpan Martin and mastered by Ryan Van Kriedt (Dead Skeletons/The Asteroid #4).
